Annotation
The article is devoted to the research of the ozocerite branch of the Russian industry. The features of the extraction of this petroleum product, its processing and sale on the territory of the Russian Empire are considered. Special attention is paid in the article to the joint-stock company of Cheleken ozokerite and oil fields “Lyuborad”, operating
in the territory of the Transcaspian region. The article traces the history of this Society and provides biographical information about its leadership. The scale-up of the activities of this organization, which became the largest producer of ozokerite and its products in late Imperial Russia, is shown.
