Annotation

This article examines the history of the Far Eastern Regional Higher Chinese Lenin School, which operated in Vladivostok from 1933 to 1938, against the backdrop of sweeping transformations in Soviet national policy and the policy of «korenization.» Particular attention is paid to analyzing the managerial strategies of the schoolʼs leaders — two Chinese and one Russian — as well as their contributions to the development of educational and personnel practices for integrating Chinese workers into Soviet society. Based on archival documents and Chinese-language materials, introduced into scientific discourse for the first time, the author explores the structure of the educational process, the content of programs, and the specifics of training specialists for work in the context of interethnic interaction and cross-border cooperation. The study fills gaps in the knowledge of the biographies of the school’s leaders and their subsequent revolutionary activities, and also reveals the specifics of policies toward Chinese migrants in the Soviet Far East.
