Annotation

The post-Soviet historiographical landscape includes quite extensive materials on the history of ethnopolitical movements/national parties of the early XX century, and its coverage is directly related to the urgent tasks of modern nation-building and the formation of markers of public consciousness. This is clearly shown by the example of the historiography of Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia. The article analyzes the leading trends and features of the interpretation of the history of the formation, essence, activity and significance of ethnopolitical parties and movements of the early XX century in the publications of historians of the former republics of the USSR.
