Annotation
The article examines the powers and activities of the quaestors in Spain during the period from the dictatorship of Sulla to the assassination of Caesar. Considerable
attention is paid to the problem of coinage in connection with the fiscal powers of the quaestors. The author makes an attempt to determine the place of the questura in the system of provincial government and answer the question about the legal grounds for the replacement of the post of governor of the province by the quaestor.
