Annotation

The purpose of the article is to determine the place of the Paleo-Balkans and Proto-Greeks in the system of dialectal division of the Indo-European family with the establishment of the time of the appearance of each of the tribes in historical habitats. A retrospective ascent from cultures with reliable ethnic attribution to their supposed ancestors. A comprehensive analysis of the data of archeology, linguistics and glottochronology was carried out according to the principle of their mutual convergence. A hypothesis is put forward about the Phrygian ethnicity of the founders of Ilion (Troy VI), the proto-Greek ethnic status of the Budjak culture in the North-Western Black Sea region is substantiated.
