Annotation
The research has demonstrated that the elections to the Second State Duma in Moscow were organized significantly better than in the other regions of the country. This
was the result of the efforts of the Moscow city authorities in general, and of the gorodskoy golova (City’s head) N. I. Guchkov in particular. The representatives of the opposition, among which the authorities counted the party of Constitutional Democrats, experienced significant administrative pressure, but in spite of this, all of the Duma deputies elected in Moscow were Kadets.
