Annotation

The article examines trends in the development of modern education, which are becoming decisive in the development of society. The 21st century has proposed fundamentally new approaches to defining the goals of education and setting educational results. The current stage in the development of educational systems, according to the authors of the article, characterizes the search for new meanings of education in the context of globalization, the search for directions for the modernization of education, the expansion of the educational space, its going beyond the boundaries of the school, including into the digital environment. Considering the changes taking place in modern social and humanitarian, and, above all, historical education, the authors note the main features that characterize the school course History of Russia: reliance on general humanistic values, debatable nature, dialogicality. The article also discusses model tasks that allow diagnosing the educational results of students, in accordance with the expectations of modern society.
