Annotation
XXI century significantly expanded the area of migration processes caused by military conflicts, natural disasters and other reasons. Therefore, at present, migration is more like a forced movement than a natural process. The research topic chosen by the author is of interest to both states and is one of the important points contributing to the development of bilateral relations. The article provides a brief excursion into the history of Azerbaijani-Russian migration relations, listing and analyzing in detail the most important factors that contributed to cooperation in the field of migration, especially since the early 1990s. Particular attention is paid to labor migration, which has an important impact in relations between the two countries.
