Annotation
The article analyzes the problems of functioning of the prosecutorial bodies of correctional labor camps in the Krasnoyarsk Region in 1948-1953. It is noted that with the increase in the number of prisoners, crime in places of detention also increased. The main types of crimes, committed by the prisoners, were escapes and banditry. Freelance
workers were mainly engaged in embezzlement; and the guard soldiers were convicted of war crimes.
