Annotation
This publication, dedicated to important historical events that took place in the USSR and its capital in the 1930s, is based on archival documents stored in the Central State Archive of Moscow and other archival repositories, and is being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. It sheds light on the activities of Arseniy Grigoryevich Zverev (1900–1969) as the first secretary of the Molotov District Committee of the All-Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Moscow from May to November 1937. This publication largely fills a gap in the biography of A. G. Zverev, an outstanding statesman of the Soviet era, served as People’s Commissar and Minister of Finance of the USSR from 1938 to 1960 and for more than twenty years held one of the key positions in the Soviet government.
