Annotation

The article is devoted to the historiographical analysis of the works of Russian researchers published in the American journal of translations Russian Studies in History, conducted by Anglo-American historians. It notes a significant expansion of the topics of modern Russian historical research, the use of a new methodology in them and the appeal to new, previously unused arrays of documents, mainly located in local archives. This has made it possible to achieve impressive results in the field of political, social, economic and cultural history, as well as in the history of everyday life.
