Annotation
By the beginning of the Roma book publishing, control of publications in the languages of the nationalities of the USSR had already taken shape. It is not known who personally authorized the Roma books. The article proposes a reconstruction of the departmental order of permission for publication based on archival materials, analysis of manuscripts and the output of books. Gaps in publications did not always appear due to censorship requirements. The authors sometimes resorted to self-censorship.
