Annotation

The article examines the position of student youth in relation to religion, moral postulates of Orthodoxy and Islam, which influence the formation of a humane ersonality in demand by society. Based on the sociological research carried out by students from different faculties of Moscow State Pedagogical University — fine arts and design, philological and legal, from 2006 to 2020. conclusions are drawn about the relationship and communication of young people in a multi-ethnic and multi-confessional environment. Attention is paid to the transformation of the views of student youth in the process of acquiring knowledge, educational cultural events, the influence of Orthodox-Islamic values and dialogues that take place in real life. The author tries to find out the degree of religiosity of young people, their interest in spiritual culture and religious studies, revealing the humanistic values of Christianity and Islam, the commonality of their moral attitudes. Representative studies have shown the relationship between the study of special disciplines by students with individual modules of religious disciplines in order to expand their knowledge. At the same time, a certain transformation of the views of junior and senior students on spiritual culture, tolerance towards other believers, a noticeable process of integration of polyculturals was noted. At the same time, some respondents expressed distrust and negative attitude towards clergy in connection with their incompetence in matters of faith and the position of spiritual service. The general conclusion of students about the importance of Orthodoxy and Islam, which historically proved the ability of good-neighborly coexistence, is a positive assessment of their mutual influence in fulfilling an important function of spiritual and moral influence on people to preserve peace on the planet.
