Annotation

The article is devoted to the tours of the outstanding ballerina Anna Pavlova and the troupe of Russian ballet artists, representing a little-known episode of the cultural dialogue between Russia and Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. The organizational and creative components of these performances and their perception by the general public, the artistic community and theater critics in Germany have been analyzed as well as there has been the identification of the role of touring in the popularization of Russian art abroad.
